This year marks the tent anniversery for POetLITICAL, Inc. Thank you to all the universities, colleges and venues that have supported the my work and the work of my artists.
POetLITICAL, Inc. is a booking agency I started in 2002 to promote social political artists to college audiences. The name POetLITICAL comes from a nickname I earned performing political on the New York City poetry circuit The Poetlitician. The company’s mission is to bring Socially Conscious Arts back to popular culture.
This years roster of artists include Iyaba Ibo Mandingo poet and fine artist with Self Portrait his dynamic one man show. Be amazed as he tells the story of his journey form the West Indies and coming of age in the United States while painting his self portrait before your eye. ItsRealLight the latest artist to join POetLITICAL, Inc. take us back in time and into the mind of Harriot Tubman in her solo performance. The Sisters Beyond Our Letters Leadership Conference.
